You get a verdict for each person's food notes: Matched, Unmatched, or Uncertain, plus a plain-English explanation of why the label was flagged that way. Because AI can make mistakes, a Matched verdict is not a guarantee that a food is safe for you. Always review the original label, and manually review any Uncertain result.

Some packaged products have dense, hard-to-read ingredient information. IngrediCheck turns technical ingredient lists into plain language, shows what matches your food notes, and can translate ingredient information written in another language.

IngrediCheck uses cutting-edge AI technology to read a product's ingredient list from barcode data or photos of the label, translate it into plain language, and match it against each person's food notes. It then gives a Matched, Unmatched, or Uncertain verdict and explains why.

Yes. You can set up food notes for different family members, then use one scan to see what fits each person.

Open Profile or Settings, tap Manage Family, and choose Add Member. Enter the member's details and save them. If that person needs access on their own device, use the invite option from Manage Family. Signing in and family-admin permission may be required for family-management actions.

Food notes are the dietary preferences and ingredients you want to keep track of, like allergens, additives, or anything you would rather avoid. IngrediCheck checks each scan against them.

Open Food Notes in the app, choose the family member you want to update, then add, edit, or remove items in the relevant section, such as Avoid, Allergies, or Preferences, and save. Your updated notes are used for every scan from then on.

Open your Profile or Settings screen and tap Food Notes. Choose the family member you want to review, then add, edit, or remove items in sections such as Avoid, Allergies, or Preferences and save your changes.

Custom free-text preference notes are limited to 40 items for each family member. Built-in food notes are stored in their relevant sections. For a long list, add items in smaller groups and review the saved Food Notes afterward to make sure every item is in the intended section.

IngrediCheck is available on both iOS and Android, so you can scan products from your phone wherever you shop.

Yes. Along with scanning a barcode, you can take a photo of the ingredient label, so you can still get a verdict when a product has no barcode or it will not scan.

IngrediCheck does not currently offer a consumer product-catalog search. Check a product by scanning its barcode or by taking clear photos of its label. The in-app assistant can discuss a product or a recent scan, but it is not a catalog search.

IngrediCheck is designed for packaged products with a barcode or a readable ingredient label. A photo of a prepared meal cannot reveal ingredients that are not visible. For a homemade or restaurant dish, check with the person who prepared it and review the labels of packaged ingredients separately. Do not treat a meal photo as a complete ingredient or safety check.

Open Profile or Settings and tap Scan History to revisit recent scans. IngrediCheck does not currently provide a user control to delete an individual scan or its uploaded label photos. To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow the account-deletion steps.

Unfortunately, IngrediCheck is currently only available in English. However, you can chat with the in-app assistant in many languages, just write in your preferred language and it will reply in the same one.

Previously loaded scan information may remain available from your device's cache. New barcode lookups, label-photo uploads, AI analysis, account syncing, and other live features require an internet connection.

From the Home screen, tap the green scanner button in the center of the bottom bar and allow camera access. In Barcode mode, point the camera at the barcode and keep it clearly visible inside the frame. If the product has no barcode, the barcode will not scan, or the result is missing label details, switch to Photo mode and capture clear photos of the product and its ingredient and allergen panels. Check the product name and result before relying on it.

Do not rely on a result that shows the wrong product or incomplete information. First check the product name and brand. Then try again in Photo mode with clear images of the front, back, ingredient list, and allergen statement. Use the not-helpful or feedback control on the affected result to tell us what was wrong.

Statements such as "may contain," "made on shared equipment," or "may contain traces" describe possible cross-contact rather than a confirmed recipe ingredient. Because the wording does not establish whether the substance is present, treat it as information that needs your manual review. Check the original package and, when needed, confirm with the manufacturer or your healthcare professional. If IngrediCheck misses a warning printed on the package, use the feedback control on that result.

Some labels name an ingredient without identifying its source. IngrediCheck should not assume a plant, animal, or other source that the label does not provide. An Uncertain result means you should review the package and contact the manufacturer if the source matters for your food notes.

For a wrong product, missing ingredient, or incorrect result, use the feedback control on that result so the report includes the relevant context. For an account, privacy, or unresolved help question, email owner@ingredicheck.app. Do not rely on a disputed scan result while it is being reviewed.

You can start with a guest session and set up food notes right away. Signing in lets you save your preferences and sync them across the family.

Choose the existing-user sign-in flow and use the Google or Apple option associated with your account. Signed-in preferences and scans can sync so you can pick up where you left off. Data that existed only in a guest session, or data from an account whose deletion has completed, may not be recoverable. If you still cannot access the account, email owner@ingredicheck.app.

Barcode and product records may come from Open Food Facts or IngrediCheck's hosted product inventory. Labels, package photos, and product details submitted by users can supplement those records. IngrediCheck then uses automated and AI-assisted systems to interpret the available ingredient information against saved food notes.

You can request deletion of your IngrediCheck account directly from within the mobile app. Follow the steps below to remove your profile, saved preferences, and any data stored on your device. Follow steps
